Meet Jiaozi

Jiaozi is a two-year-and-nine-month-old male Devon Rex, a breed known for its soft curly coat and playful personality. His unique black-and-white markings make him stand out—his back is almost entirely black except for a small white patch in the middle, while his front legs are white and his hind legs are black, giving him the appearance of wearing mismatched little socks.

Energetic, affectionate, and incredibly people-oriented, Jiaozi loves spending time with his family in Guizhou, China. No matter how softly or loudly his pawrent calls his name, he comes running immediately. He also enjoys gently licking their hands and hair, a sweet habit that feels like his own way of showing love.

Love at First Sight

Jiaozi's story began with a spontaneous visit to a local pet store and cattery. Although his pawrent had only planned to admire the kittens, one tiny three-month-old kitten confidently approached, rubbed against their hand, and even begged for treats. His fearless and friendly personality made it impossible to leave without him.

His name comes from jiaozi, the traditional Chinese dumpling that symbolizes warmth, happiness, and family reunion. It was the perfect name for a cat who would soon bring all of those things into his new home.

A Heart Full of Affection

Jiaozi has an exceptionally gentle personality and loves being close to people. One of his cutest habits is dramatically flopping onto the floor whenever he wants attention. He'll roll around, block his pawrent's path, and patiently wait until they stop to play with him.

Every day, he also waits by the door when he senses his pawrent is about to come home, making every reunion feel extra special.

A Memory to Treasure

Among countless happy memories, the earliest days together remain the most unforgettable.

When Jiaozi first arrived home, everything around him was unfamiliar. Despite being nervous, he quickly placed all of his trust in his pawrent. He slept on their chest, followed them everywhere like a tiny shadow, curled up beside their pillow every night, and gently woke them each morning with soft meows and tiny paw taps.
