Most of us know that cats are small, agile, lovely living beings. They tend to be cuddled and snuggle more. However, there is another cat species that is known as the big cat. It is because their body structure, their habitat, and their habits are different from the normal cat you know.
One of them is Mongolian Snow Leopard or to be known as the Ghost of the Mountain, because they lived in an arid mountain area. They have long tails, greyish spotted fur, and are built for the cold. Their main habitat is in high mountains in Central Asia. So what’s another interesting fact about them? Read them below!!!
They can’t roar
Even though they are categorized as big cats, which mean they are supposed to roar, not purring, snow leopards are different. They have their main call, called piercing yowl, that is so loud that it can be heard over the roar of the river.

They have natural snowshoes
The Central Asia Mountain is known for its cold and icy area. To survive that, Snow Leopards have natural snowshoes, their fully covered paws with fur. That helps to balance their weight on top of soft snow.
They prey blue sheep
Talking about their favorite prey, blue sheep is the answer. The reason is because they can provide meals for them that are worth a week. Other than that, they also prey on Hares, Himalayan Tahr, Ibex, marmot, and game birds.
