🐾 From the Streets to Snuggles — Our Rescue Cat Story from Galicia

Hi humans! šŸ‘‹

ree

We’re Nube (8), Braulio (5), Paco (4), Dora (4), and Pepa (3) — five proud rescue cats from Galicia, Spain.Once upon a time, we were just stray whiskers wandering the streets.

Today, we share a cozy home filled with purrs, naps, and a little bit of chaos — the good kind.

Our humans, Karen and Karencio, opened their doors (and hearts) to us one by one. What started as a simple act of kindness turned into a full house — and a full heart.

Now, mornings begin with synchronized meows, afternoons melt into sunlit naps, and nights end with soft cuddles and the occasional wall-scratching protest when dinner’s late.

This is our story — one of second chances, rescue, adoption, and gratitude. It’s also a love letter to all the humans who believe that every cat deserves a home, and every home needs a cat.

šŸŒ… Life Begins at 6:30 a.m. — Breakfast Time for Five Cats

Our perfect day starts early — 6:30 a.m. sharp, weekends included. The alarm? Our meows.

We get our latitasĀ (wet food) served with love, then play a bit before Karen leaves for work.Once she’s gone, we switch to nap mode — a vital part of feline life.

By 3 p.m., we demand a ā€œrefuel.ā€ After all, sleeping burns calories, right? When Karen returns home at 6:30 p.m., playtime begins: feathers, boxes, and zoomies around the sofa.

But beware — if dinner isn’t served by 10:30 p.m., we start scratching the walls. We call it civilized negotiation.

😹 Everyday Joys in a Multi-Cat Family

Every family has its clown, and ours is Braulio.

ree

His signature move? Hiding in boxes and jumping out to scare whoever walks by — cat or human alike.

Nube, on the other paw, launches ā€œzoomie hourā€ right after using the litter box. The moment he dashes out, we all join — imagine five furry comets sprinting through the hallway. We call it The Evening Race of Life.

But we’re not just chaos — we’re a team. Each of us has our favorite playmate: Nube loves sneaking up on Pepa during bed-time ambushes, Pepa prefers teaming up with Dora for balanced play (the boys are a bit too wild).

Braulio, ever the romantic, still adores Dora and treats her like a baby sister, while Paco switches moods — quiet sessions with Dora, wild runs with Braulio. And Dora? She loves playing with the Karens most of all. Nothing beats a good feather toy and laughter from her humans.

And yes — Churu is sacred. It is our favourite snack and every night, before bed, each of us gets one. Because fairness matters.

šŸ’• Love Heals — For Cats and Humans Alike

We all came from tough beginnings — hunger, fear, uncertainty. But Karen and Karencio gave us a home where we could finally just be cats.

They always say: ā€œThe best thing about cats is that each one is a world of its own.ā€

In our home, we don’t have to fit anyone’s idea of a ā€œgood cat.ā€ We get to be ourselves — curious, silly, stubborn, loving — and that’s what makes life special.

Even though we sometimes drive our humans crazy, we also help them heal. Life isn’t always easy — long work hours, stress, responsibilities — but as Karen says: ā€œComing home to them after a bad day is the fuel that keeps my engine running.ā€

ree

Our purrs aren’t background noise. They’re therapy in stereo.

šŸ  What Makes a Cat Truly Happy

We believe happiness starts with the little things — fresh water, good food, and humans who care. Our home is full of cozy spots, scratching posts, and rotating toys (variety is key!).

ree

We get both dry and wet food daily, and regular vet checkups — not just when something’s wrong.

Hydration, quality food, and routine care keep us healthy; love and play keep us alive inside. You don’t need fancy stuff — just attention, patience, and a safe space where we can be ourselves.

šŸ” Small Paws, Big Impact — From Rescue to Gratitude

We’re proud to be part of a neighborhood rescue network in A CoruƱa, where animal lovers join forces to feed, foster, and rehome stray cats and dogs across Galicia.

ree

There’s no leader, no spotlight — just many small paws and big hearts working together to make life better for animals in need.

As Karen reminds everyone: ā€œYou don’t need to do something huge to make a difference.Ā If each of us lends one paw, we can achieve incredible things.ā€

Our story began in fear but blossomed into love — and now it’s purpose.

Every nap in the sun, every shared Churu, every soft purr is proof that rescue transforms lives.

We hope our journey inspires you to adopt, donate, or simply care a little more.

After all, we’re not just five cats — we’re living proof that kindness multiplies, one whisker at a time.

🐾 Join Our Journey — And Help Us Help Others

Our home may be full, but our hearts still have room for more. That’s why we’re proud to be part of a community rescue project in A CoruƱa, working hand in pawĀ with APA MichiGuau.

It all began with a simple neighborhood WhatsApp group — a few animal lovers helping the stray cats that appeared on our streets. Together, we feed local colonies, rescue kittens, foster those in need, and find adoptive families.

There’s no boss, no organization chart — just people and paws moving in the same direction.

As Karen always says: ā€œYou don’t need to do something huge to make a difference.Ā If each of us lends one paw, we can achieve incredible things.ā€

That’s the spirit we live by — because rescue isn’t just about saving; it’s about caring. Every small gesture adds up: a shared post, a can of food, a euro donated, a cat rehomed.
