Lumi’s Journey: A White Cat’s Path from Stray to Stability

Meow There!
Hi fellow feline enthusiasts! My name is Lumi and I’m a fluffy white cat with quite a story. I once lived as a stray in Chmelnitzky, a city in southwest Ukraine. Then one day, everything changed—I was found by a family who gave me a safe and loving home elsewhere in Europe.
I’m rather sweet and tender, but also a bit dominant. First, I’ll charm you with my adorable side, and then somehow… you’ll do exactly what I want!
My family is currently made up of four hoomans (a man, a woman, and two teenagers) as well as two other cats: Sylba, a large grey Norwegian forest cat, and Vlad, a feisty black panther.

Rough Beginnings
Life as a stray was really tough. I struggled a lot because I was (and still am) quite small. Luckily, I found a place where kind people fed stray cats like me. At that time, I was in terrible shape: dirty, full of infections, and so stained that my white fur looked almost completely brown.
Even eating was difficult because I’m missing some teeth. Thankfully, people noticed me, cared for me, and tried to find me a family. And it worked! Now I’m healthy, with sparkling white fur, and happier than ever!

The Bond with My Pawrents
I consider myself lucky. At first, the man of my family wasn’t ready for a third cat after Sylba and Vlad. But my lady hooman insisted—and guess what? Now I’m always following my man hooman around, because he gives the best scratches out of my entire family. His cuddles are veeeery enjoyable!
Of course, sometimes my humans aren’t too thrilled with me… mainly because I prefer to use the garden as my personal toilet, and, well, let’s just say I’m not exactly a professional at covering things up.
My Cat-tivities
I’m not a big hunter, I’ll admit Vlad is way better. Sometimes we team up to “torture” mice or birds, but honestly, I just want to play. Vlad is the one who takes hunting seriously.
I spend most of my time with Sylba since he’s just as lazy as I am. We love to curl up on the sofa together, purring and snoozing. When it comes to food, I always want whatever the other cats have—even if it’s exactly the same as mine! And because of my teeth (or lack thereof), I mostly just lick up the sauce.

Never Give Up!
As a former stray cat, I want to tell other cats and cat pawrents; especially those still on the streets: never, ever give up. There’s always room for one more kitty. If you just stay true to yourself, some pawsome new pawrents will find you, love you, and be delighted to have you. Believe me, I know.
