The Story Behind the Page
In the mountains of Córdoba, Argentina, where rivers wind through valleys and nature stretches endlessly, there's a home that pulses with life. It's not just the home of Siku, a 39-year-old mother, but of her two daughters (ages 8 and 10), six cats, and four dogs—a beautiful, chaotic family bound together by love.
The Instagram page @gat0landias tells its story, but it began with a memory. A single cat who changed everything.
"We started this page in memory of our first family cat. Our first cat was called KASUKI. He was very adventurous and always went out at night. Kasuki 2018–2021."

Kasuki was more than their first cat—he was the beginning of something larger. Though he only walked alongside them for three short years, his spirit of adventure set the tone for everything that would follow. When Kasuki passed in 2021, Siku's daughters—the true cat lovers of the family—wanted to honour him. And so @gat0landias was born, a digital home for the furry souls who've filled their lives with joy.
Building the Family, One Heartbeat at a Time
After Kasuki, the family moved to a house that was still being built, raw and unfinished, but full of possibility. It was the perfect time to welcome new life. A friend from the Argentine countryside offered them two tiny kittens, siblings barely big enough to fit in a child's palm.
"Later we moved to our house while it was still under construction and adopted two sibling cats: Charuta and Cruz de Leche, also known as Gato Go. A friend who lives in the countryside in Argentina gave them to us. They were tiny, a boy and a girl."

Cruz de Leche, the boy, quickly earned his nickname: Gato Go. "Go" is short for "gordo"—fat—and it suits him perfectly.
"This is Cruz de Leche. We also call him 'Gato Go', short for gordo (fat), because he loves food at all hours. If it were up to him, he would eat all day until he bursts." His appetite is legendary in the household; his love for food matched only by his love for his sister.
Charuta, his female sibling, is a study in contradictions. She's fiercely independent, with little patience for the antics of other cats, yet she's also one of the most affectionate creatures you'll ever meet.
"Charuta has very little patience with the other cats. She can't tolerate playing with another cat. Her games consist of chasing a toy she throws herself, but when another cat tries to join in, she gets angry, throws a paw swipe, and leaves through the window."
But come bedtime, all that attitude melts away. "She's one of the cuddliest. She loves sleeping inside the bed, completely covered." Under the blankets, curled up against warmth, Charuta finds her peace.

A year passed, and the family grew again. Two more siblings arrived: Tormenta and Soniki Chuan, both blessed with gloriously fluffy coats. Tormenta gleamed yellow in the sunlight, while Soniki's grey fur made him look like a little storm cloud.
"Well, a year later, two more little brothers showed up. Tormenta and Soniki Chuan. Two very furry cats. Tormenta is the yellow, and Soniki is the grey. They adapted quickly to the house and their pets. There was always good coexistence between dogs and cats."
Tormenta and Soniki Chuan
The household had found its rhythm—cats and dogs living side by side, sharing space and sunbeams. But nature, as it often does, had one more surprise in store.
"All our cats are neutered. But one day, nature won us over. Storm was pregnant."
When Tormenta gave birth, she brought five tiny yellow kittens into the world. The family's hearts swelled—and then broke. "She had 5 yellow kittens. Unfortunately, one didn't survive. But the other 4 did." They found loving homes for three of the survivors, carefully choosing families who would cherish them. But one kitten, the chubbiest of the bunch, was impossible to let go.
"We were able to find homes for 3, and we kept the chubbiest one. And we named him 'Dormilón' (Sleepyhead) because of his desire to eat and sleep."
Newborn Kittens, and grown-up Dormilón
Now fully grown, Dormilón is a giant, fluffy orange cat who lives up to his name. He sleeps, he eats, and when the mood strikes him, he hunts. "Dormilón is a great hunter. He always brings us his prey alive, and then we release them farther away from the house." The family has become quite practised at these gentle catch-and-release operations.
The Dogs Who Complete the Circle
The feline contingent may get most of the attention on @gat0landias, but the dogs are just as essential to the family's story.
"The family is completed with the 4 dogs we have!!"
Ruffo has lived a life of adventure. Born in Cusco, Peru, he's traveled across countries and continents, experiencing mountains, beaches, and snow. "Ruffo, 11 years old, born in the city of Cusco, Peru. He travelled to several countries. He knows the mountain, the beach, the snow and now we live in the mountains of Cordoba surrounded by rivers." At 11, he's finally found his forever home in these Argentine mountains, where rivers sing him to sleep.

Q-ki is Siku's shadow, her constant companion. "The Q-ki. She turns 11 next month. She is the Macha Alfa. I adopted her in the city of Buenos Aires, and she came to live with me in Cordoba. She is my shadow; she follows me everywhere." As the alpha female, she runs the pack with quiet authority, never far from Siku's side.

Morucha was found in a desperate condition—skinny, weak, covered in ticks. But Siku's daughter saw past all of that. "She is Morucha, we found her skinny, skinny and with many ticks. My daughter had a direct connection, and since that day, they have adored each other. They share their love for cats, since Morucha has many cat habits. Big bitch." The connection was instant and unbreakable. Now healthy and loved, Morucha has adopted so many feline behaviours that she's practically an honorary cat.

Chiki arrived last, a golden-hearted soul who loves indiscriminately. "And she is the chiki, the last to arrive. Golden loves everyone. Her best friends are the cats!" In a household where species lines blur and love flows freely, Chiki fits in perfectly.

Life in the Mountains
So what does life look like when you share your home with ten animals and two young daughters? It's chaotic, certainly. It's loud. But mostly, it's filled with love.
The cats don't always get along perfectly. "There is rivalry between groups of siblings. The fluffy ones annoy the short-haired ones." Charuta maintains her boundaries, the fluffy crew does what fluffy crews do, and everyone navigates their relationships with the particular logic of cats. But somehow, it works.
When asked what a perfect day would look like for the cats, Siku paints a picture of simple contentment: "Sleep, eat, groom themselves in the sun, sleep in the sun, eat again, ask for cuddles, and sleep again." It's a life of leisure punctuated by moments of connection—a head rub here, a warm patch of sunlight there, the comfort of a full belly and a safe home.
And through it all, Siku's daughters watch and learn. They learn that love doesn't have a species requirement. They learn that a home isn't complete until it's filled with the patter of paws and the rumble of purrs. They learn what their mother already knows, what she shares as the family motto:
"Cats and dogs—if they are loved and protected, they will return that love multiplied by a thousand."
A Thousand Times Over
In the mountains of Córdoba, surrounded by rivers and endless sky, this multi-species family has built something rare and beautiful. It started with Kasuki, that adventurous spirit who first taught them what it meant to love a cat. It grew with Charuta and Cruz de Leche, with Tormenta and Soniki, with little Dormilón, who was too precious to give away.
It expanded to include Ruffo the traveller, Q-ki the shadow, Morucha the survivor, and Chiki the lover of all. And at the centre of it all are two young girls learning that the love you give comes back to you—multiplied by a thousand.

That's the promise of @gat0landias. That's the legacy of Kasuki. That's what happens when you open your heart and your home to creatures who need you.
The love comes back. A thousand times over.
