Meet Hong Kong’s Four Bengal Adventurers: Hojicha, Mochi, Oolong & Earl BB
Four Bengals. Four very different personalities. One adventurous life in Hong Kong.
Meet Hojicha, Mochi, Oolong and Earl BB — a fabulous feline foursome living life to the fullest with their hoomans in Hong Kong.
Hojicha is the brown rosetted girl, born on October 9, 2020, and the eldest of the family.
Mochi is a silver rosetted girl, born on July 2, 2021.
Oolong, the snow mink boy, joined the family on January 12, 2022.
Little Earl BB (伯爵 BB), a boy born on May 27, 2022, is the youngest of the pack.
Together, they are four Bengals with striking wild spots, silky coats and that unmistakable high-energy Bengal curiosity. But when it comes to their personalities, they couldn't be more different.
Four Cats, Four Personalities
First there is Hojicha, The OG Queen.
As the big sister, Hojicha is the absolute sweetie of the family. She has the gentlest soul, loves everyone she meets and, according to her siblings, somehow holds the whole household together.
Then comes Mochi, The Foodie Play-Machine.
Mochi is the second-born and an absolute bottomless pit. She loves her family in obsessive-level amounts, has non-stop play energy and is seemingly always asking the most important question of the day:"Is it dinner time yet?"
Next up is Oolong, The Adventure King.
The most outgoing of the pack, Oolong has serious FOMO — and he practically demands his daily outdoor fix. If there is an adventure to be had, Oolong is leading the charge.
And finally, there is Earl Grey, The Baby Cuddler 伯爵, the littlest brother and the master of soft living.
Earl BB spends 90% of his day sleeping, and his favorite place in the world is tucked up in bed, sleeping right next to his hoomans all night.
With personalities like these, there is clearly never a dull moment in this household.
From Indoor Harness Training to Hong Kong Adventures
For this Bengal family, outdoor adventures didn't happen overnight.
They started harness training indoors, with heaps of treats. Once the cats realized that the harness meant outdoor time, they were hooked — especially Oolong.
And Hong Kong has become their playground.
The four cats love feeling the sea breeze at Repulse Bay, sniffing new plants along Tong Chong Street, and simply sitting back and people-watching in Stanley.
There is something wonderfully feline about the way they experience the city: stopping to sniff, watching the world go by and taking in all the sights, sounds and smells around them.
And Oolong? He is naturally ready to explore it all.
The dream is to take the full crew even further and explore more outdoor areas and hiking spots around Hong Kong.
Life Is Better When You Explore It Together
For Hojicha, Mochi, Oolong and Earl BB, being a cat doesn't have to mean spending your entire life indoors.
Their message to other cats and cat pawrents is simple: cats don't just sit on the couch!
With patient harness training and the right gear, cats can safely experience the outside world, enjoy outdoor dining and live full, adventurous lives alongside their humans.
Of course, every cat has their own personality and their own comfort zone. For this particular quartet, however, adventure has become an important part of their family life.
And when four very different cats share those experiences together, it makes for some unforgettable moments.
A Very Special Chinese New Year
When Chinese New Year comes around, the four Bengals get into the festive spirit too.
They put on their festive bandanas and head out to collect red packets — which their hoomans kindly convert into freeze-dried treats.
And the celebrations don't stop there.
Their pawrents prepare a fancy feast for the family, usually featuring fresh steamed salmon or high-end raw toppers, served up as though the cats were dining at a fine restaurant.
It sounds like a pretty good way to celebrate the New Year!

What Hojicha, Mochi, Oolong and Earl BB really want to show the world is that cats can be part of life's adventures.
You don't have to be a dog to enjoy the outdoors.
With patience, proper harness training and the right equipment, cats can discover the world alongside their humans — whether that means feeling the sea breeze at Repulse Bay, exploring a new street, enjoying outdoor dining or simply watching the world from somewhere new.
And perhaps the most important lesson comes from the youngest member of the family.
Explore together — but don't forget to take time for naps.
