Pawlione: Giving Abandoned Animals in Türkiye a Second Chance

Founded by veterinary technician Rüya Adıyaman, Pawlione Adoption is an Instagram-based animal adoption initiative dedicated to helping abandoned cats and dogs find safe, loving, and permanent homes. The home base of Rüya is Orient Veterinary Clinic (Orient Veteriner Kliniği), located in Çengelköy Istanbul, Türkiye.

With approximately six years of experience in veterinary clinics and animal hospitals, Rüya has dedicated much of her professional journey to animal welfare, working alongside fellow veterinary professionals, pet parents, pet care givers, and volunteers to support animals in need.

Pawlione Adoption was created to expand these efforts and raise awareness about responsible pet parenthood. Despite being a new initiative, the platform has already made a meaningful impact. Within just six days of launching, Pawlione successfully helped three cats and two dogs find loving homes, demonstrating how compassion and collaboration can change lives.

Many of the animals in Pawlione’s care have been abandoned on the streets or have experienced neglect, suffering, and rejection. Through a network of veterinary clinics and animal hospitals, each animal receives a veterinary examination before the adoption process proceeds. This approach helps ensure that their health, individual needs, and living conditions are carefully considered when finding suitable homes.

One of the most heartbreaking challenges in animal adoption is the return of pets after their initial adoption. Some people adopt out of excitement without fully understanding the responsibilities involved, later returning their animals because of issues such as allergies or shedding. These experiences highlight the importance of viewing pets as living beings with emotions and needs, rather than temporary companions or belongings.

Pawlione Adoption aims to encourage people to make thoughtful, lifelong commitments when adopting an animal. By promoting responsible parenthood and compassion, the initiative hopes to prevent unnecessary abandonment and give more animals the stable, loving families they deserve.

Rather than operating from a single adoption facility, Pawlione works through a collaborative network of veterinary professionals, clinics, and animal hospitals. The initiative also hopes to build stronger connections with rescue organizations and animal welfare communities in Türkiye and internationally.

At its heart, Pawlione Adoption believes that every animal deserves safety, love, and a family to call its own. Through rescue, responsible adoption, and public awareness, the initiative hopes to reach more people, save more lives, and give abandoned animals the second chance they deserve.
