Meet Margarita from Punta Arenas, Chile💖🐱

Margarita is a Magellanic kitty from Punta Arenas, Chile. She has spent almost two wonderful years in this world being spoiled by her parents. During winter, her little white coat blends perfectly with the city's snow, so her parents have to look for her very carefully.

Her parents had been preparing to adopt another kitten and had everything ready, but sadly, that little one passed away before they could meet. Some time later, Margarita's mom's coworker knew someone who was looking for homes for Margarita and her siblings. Even though her parents had never seen Margarita before adopting her, it was definitely love at first sight.

From the very first day she arrived home, they gave her endless love and care. Margarita immediately felt safe with her mom and dad. She threw herself into their arms and instantly felt at home. Since then, they have become a family of three full of cuddles, tiny paws, and unconditional love.

Margarita is a truly adventurous kitty who loves exploring new things. Her most epic adventure happened last summer when she traveled with her parents to Hijuelas and Concón. The journey took four days and included crossing the Argentine Pampas and visiting beautiful places such as San Carlos de Bariloche, Río Gallegos, El Calafate, Chubut, San Martín de los Andes, and Junín de los Andes. She even explored the famous Ruta 40.

The adventure continued through Pucón, Temuco, Los Ángeles, Chillán, and Santiago. She also visited Chiloé, Frutillar, and Puerto Montt. On the way back home, Margarita had the chance to travel along the Carretera Austral, riding ferries with her parents and admiring the breathtaking scenery like a true globe-trotting kitty.

After that trip, one thing became clear: Margarita is not an ordinary cat—she is an international explorer.

Of course, every star has her weaknesses, and Margarita is no exception. She cannot resist her favorite snacks: chicken and blueberry lollipops, little salmon squares, catnip treats, and tuna crackers with a little cheese.

If you really want to impress her, spend time with her on the scratching post or play with the little pink mouse she has had since her very first day at home. Her parents had everything prepared for her from the beginning: toys, tunnels to hide and play in, three scratching posts, two beds, and even a mini cat house with a built-in scratcher.

Even though she has everything she could ever want, nothing compares to her parents' bed. To Margarita, it is her kingdom. As the queen of the house, she occasionally allows herself to break a few rules, such as drinking from her parents' glasses when they are not paying attention. After all, someone else's water always tastes better.

As a queen with big ambitions, Margarita dreams of slowly taking over the world with her cuteness, securing an endless supply of treats, and becoming the most famous short-legged kitty in the universe. She also dreams of continuing to travel with her parents, discovering new places, and filling their days with love, white fur, and a little bit of mischief.

Even though she is clearly the head of the household, she still has more hearts to conquer, more beds to claim, and perhaps a few more unattended glasses of water to raid. But her greatest dream will always be to keep growing alongside her parents, curled up beside them and remaining their spoiled baby forever.

Margarita believes that no kitty should ever hide their true personality. She encourages every kitten to be cuddly, curious, sleepy, mischievous, and unafraid to ask for all the love and attention they want because they were born to be adored and spoiled. In her opinion, no kitten should settle for just one snack when they can have three.

She also says that every cat should be patient because somewhere out there, there is always a family waiting to find them and love them forever, just like her parents did.

Finally, Margarita would like to thank all the humans who rescue, adopt, care for, and love cats and dogs as if they were part of their very hearts. For Margarita, adoption will always be one of the most beautiful ways to love. There are so many cats, kittens, dogs, and puppies waiting for a chance to be loved, protected, and cherished.

Even though they cannot speak with words, they know how to love deeply, says Margarita. A purr, sleeping beside their humans, following them around the house, and watching over them while they rest are all ways of saying, “I love you.”

And finally, Margarita would like to remind everyone of one very important rule: never leave a glass of water unattended near a curious, short-legged kitty.
