At Global Cat PR Agency CatSwoppr, we love sharing stories that show the special bond between cats and their humans. This is the story of Milton Biscuit, as told by his pawrents in Dublin, Ireland.

Milton Biscuit
Sometimes cats come to you through your subconscious mind. You may be unaware of their presence in your life until one day they come up to you in person and you suddenly realize that “This is what I have been waiting for”.
That was how Milton came to our family, unplanned but not unexpected at all. His presence has been awaited for a long time before his arrival in the world.
When The World Went Quiet
Back then, we were a big family with three feline babies: Roy, Bob, and CoCo. Out of the trio, Bob was a gentle, soft, and lovable 14-year-old cat, yet he was the first one to be taken away from our lives. Cruel and sudden, the loss immediately shadowed every corner of our home, leaving us in complete grief and anger.

Even Roy, our 16-year-old cat, and the youngest, 9-year-old CoCo, were suffering the same despair. They became quieter, less playful, and their whole life felt a huge shift overnight.
That day, it was not only Bob’s life that was taken away, but also the spark and liveliness of Roy and CoCo. They refused to go outside to roam freely like before, and all souls felt stuck with the dimness of the house every single day.
A Small, Brave Thought
The darkness soon felt eternal for all of us, and we were trying to get back some joy, even just a little. A small thought was formed in the midst of sadness: how about another kitten?
The purpose was never to replace Bob, as he was our one and only, definitely irreplaceable, but the idea of a kitten seemed like the fresh air that could breathe life again into our home.

We returned to the Cats’ Aid website - the place we once got Roy and CoCo. We found a photo of three sibling kitties - two tuxedos and one orange. But then our attention got caught by one tiny tuxedo standing still in the cat tree. His curious, tilting little head melted our hearts, and there was something else about him that encouraged the love in us.
However, it was quite difficult for us to open up again after such a loss. We hesitated about getting him, yet it was irresistible. The more we looked at him, the more we felt it in our hearts: he might not be only a kitten that we liked, but he could be the one that we need.
The little kitten, at that time, was named Rocky.
The Liveliness of Milton’s Arrival
We brought Rocky home and gave him a new name - Milton.
Milton’s arrival was a complete burst of energy. There was so much about his presence in our lives, but it was never overwhelming. He was the light in the dark, the movement in the still, and the laugh in the sorrow. He tumbled the shadow away, filling every corner with his boundless energy and gently pulling us back to normal life.
He brought back the pure happiness that we thought we had lost forever, even for Roy and CoCo. He had his own way to get back the smiles for each of us. The eldest Roy became a proud and patient teacher who showed Milton the world through his wise lens.
Meanwhile, CoCo got himself a little playmate, even though sometimes Milton was too playful to be handled by such a big sister.
The presence of Milton was a missing piece that filled in our broken hearts, and after days of tears and grief, we could finally find back the laugh and joy.
The Prophecy about “Milton” Biscuit
Until now, we still believe that Milton was sent by Bob in a way we cannot explain. It feels like he already knew that we needed such bright energy to help us go through the shadow of the loss.
However, Milton’s arrival seems to be even more spiritual than just that, and his presence was written in our prophecy long ago.

Back when I was still a child, there was an ordinary yet unforgettable moment when “Milton” came to me subconsciously.
My sister and I were standing in front of a pet shop, reading a poster in the window about a black and white little kitten looking for a home. I was innocently asking if we could bring him home, yet we had three cats, and that was simply too many already.
When we walked away, I said something strange and out of nowhere: “One day, I will have a black and white kitten called Milton.”
I never knew why I said that, nor where that idea came from, yet it has been engraved in my mind since then. We brought it up from time to time, and suddenly, Milton came into our lives as an answer - “a black and white kitten called Milton.”
Shortly after he became our family member, he quickly showed his mischievous spirit. One day, he saw a pack of Rich Tea biscuits and knocked it to the floor. He tore it open and enjoyed eating those yummy biscuits. It was a funny and cute memory that we wanted to keep with Milton’s image, and just like that, Milton Biscuit became a perfect name for a gentle-tuxedo.
Years Go On
Time flies, and it has been three years since then. We even got to say goodbye to Roy and CoCo. Each loss carved another scar in our hearts and souls, and no words can describe how hard it has always been to let go of the ones we love.
After all, Milton is still there with us through ups and downs. He came to us as a little saviour, bringing joy, laughter, and the warmth that we always need - or at least, that is what our beloved Bob wished on us.
Milton’s endless energy is what keeps us together, and not one day passes by without us feeling grateful for his precious presence in our lives.
