Meet Moisei Solomonovich - a Kitten Who Was Saved from Accident by Chance

On 27th of September Anetta’s neighbours needed to prepare for traveling, but for some reason went to get some groceries. On the way back home in Herceg Novi, Montenegro, they saw a kitten laying on the road. The kitten was obviously hit by a car and neighbours went to move him from the road at least. But the kitten was alive, but very hurt and almost unconscious. Neighbours then decided to go as fast as they could to the only vet doctor that was available at that time. The kitten was 5 months old, skinny, without any broken bones, but definitely had a concussion. The first few days were quite hard for Moisei, he didn’t understand where he was and he wasn’t feeling so good.

The next day after the neighbours and the kitten met, they went to the vet doctor again to get some meds for the kitten. But neighbours needed to travel to another country and needed to leave the kitten with somebody. After they tried to find someone that would look after Moisei, they asked Anetta to look after him for some time.

Moisei, or Mosya for short, stayed under Anetta’s watch and was very well looked after. From time to time Anetta’s cat Recket came to visit and eat some food, but she wasn’t very happy to see a new kitten in her territory. She wasn’t attacking him, just hissed and growled a bit.

The concussion was quite hard on Moisei. At first he had very frequent convulsions when he played, tried to jump or even just moved a little bit wrong. But he recovered very fast from them after and continued to do his things as if nothing happened.

Moisei has his favorite toy to play with. It is a stick with purple feathers and some bells that make noises that he likes. When he hears it, he instantly starts to search for it, plays with it and carries it around.

When Anetta teaches her lessons, Moisei lays nearby, probably wanting to become a mathematician in the future. He also likes to hug Anetta’s hand and then it is her problem how she will write everything with left hand.

He has his own cozy bed under the table. But where does he choose to sleep instead? On the bag with sewing supplies of course, it is very comfortable and nice indeed.

When it comes to night time, Moisei is not allowed in bed. Instead he has another sleeping spot near the bed on the blanket on the floor, so he is not cold at night. He sleeps the entire night without any night time zoomies.

During his stay at Anetta’s he had another vet visit, but just for the planned vaccination. He was afraid that he was sick, but everything was fine. He even had his owl plushie to comfort him.

Right now he is well and lives his best kitty life with a good family. Moisei was given newly sewed toys, because he pretty much destroyed his purple one. Now Moisei has a kid friend in a new family, with whom they play during the day and go to bed at night.

How to be not afraid of the outside and cars. At first he was held in hands near the home door, very afraid. Soon after he became more brave and started to walk by himself, catching warm sunrays. Now he can jump up on high surfaces. He can bring his toys and he can play with a ball. He can politely wait near his food bowl when it is time to eat. He can come when you call for him and he can climb a bike by its wheel and drop it on the floor.
