Meet Thor, Freya & Loki, the Norwegian Forest Trio - Three Cats, Three Gods, Endless Personalities

From the land of tulips and windmills comes a trio of majestic fluff : Thor, Freya, and Loki — Norwegian Forest Cats  who reign over the home (and Instagram feed) of their devoted cat mom, Nicky, based in the Netherlands.

Love at First Sight — Times Three

Nicky and her partner had always dreamed of owning a Norwegian Forest Cat. That dream came true when they found Thor online and instantly fell in love. But fate had more in store. The breeder also had a female kitten, Freya, who sealed the deal by curling up in Nicky’s lap on their first visit. “It was meant to be,” Nicky recalls. Thor, full of energy and charm, played nearby — already at home in their hearts.

Loki joined the family a bit later, thanks to a connection with Mariël from Cattery av Landsbygda. A cuddle visit to meet her new litter led to one unforgettable moment: “I picked Loki up, he meowed in my face, and I was sold all over again.”

Names Worthy of the Gods

Inspired by the Vikings series and the heritage of their breed, their names were never in question. Thor, the strong and playful one. Freya, the elegant and loyal goddess. And Loki… the trickster, naturally.

Personalities with a Twist

If they were students in a classroom, Freya would be top of the class — serious and responsible. Thor would be the class clown, always laughing, while Loki would be that mischievous kid causing a bit of chaos… and loving every minute of  it. “Freya would definitely be the one telling the teacher, ‘Loki did it!’” Nicky jokes.

Favorite Games and Sweetest Moments

Freya is obsessed with feathers and plays fetch like a dog. Loki guards his valerian “Christmas hat” like a priceless heirloom. Thor enjoys anything fluffy — toy mice, feather wands, fur-covered balls. But Nicky’s most cherished memories are from the first time she met each of them: “It was love at first sight, every time. That feeling has never left.”

The Life of a Catfluencer

For Nicky, sharing her cats online isn’t about fame — it’s about joy. “It makes me proud to see people love them as much as I do.” Her advice for aspiring catfluencers? Keep it genuine. “Be yourself, stay personal, and only say yes to collaborations you truly believe in.”

A Message to the Cat Community

“Always do what feels right for you and your cats,” Nicky says. Whether it’s picking toys, choosing names, or posting photos, stay true to your shared story.
